PSG NEWS – Ousmane Dembélé has been a driving force behind Paris Saint-Germain’s meteoric rise in 2025, transforming from a questioned talent into a frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or. The French forward, who missed an Arsenal trip last October due to disciplinary issues, has since found new confidence and leadership on the pitch.
Since January, Dembélé has netted 25 goals in all competitions, playing a pivotal role in PSG’s Champions League success. His switch to a number 9 role has bolstered his form and stats, but it’s his mental strength and cheeky confidence that are grabbing headlines.
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister recalled a surprising encounter during their Champions League round of 16 clash at the Parc des Princes. Dembélé, known for his quick feet, even gave Mac Allister a playful warning after outmaneuvering him.

“After 5 or 10 minutes, he was flying. In one duel, I tried to get the ball with legs apart, and he nutmegged me. Then he came up and said, ‘Brother, next time don’t come so fast.’ I told him, ‘Don’t worry, next time I’ll get your knee.’ But I never caught him,” Mac Allister told ESPN Argentina.
Though Mac Allister admired fellow star Kvaratskhelia more during the tie, Dembélé’s fearless attitude signals why he’s one of football’s most exciting players right now.
