PSG NEWS – Lionel Messi and Inter Miami will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup round of 16 this weekend. It will be one of the biggest games in the club’s short five-year history.
The storylines are huge. For the first time, Messi will play against PSG since leaving in 2023. He’ll also go head-to-head with his former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique.
Enrique coached Messi for three seasons and won nine trophies, including the 2015 Champions League. He built the legendary MSN trio with Messi, Suarez, and Neymar.

Now, Messi, Suarez, Alba, Busquets, and Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano will reunite with Enrique. They may be friends, but on the pitch they will fight to win.
“I have a special relationship with him,” Mascherano said, Mail report. “I have a special relationship with his family. Obviously, it will be very special facing him. It will be an honor for me facing a great coach. One of the greatest coaches I´ve had in my career.”
