NEWS – Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique didn’t hold back in his admiration for João Neves following the young midfielder’s impressive performance, which included a brace against Inter Miami. Speaking to the press, Enrique highlighted the success of PSG’s transfer window last summer.
“We did very good work last summer with our new signings, including João,” Enrique stated, setting the stage for his glowing remarks about the Portuguese talent.

The Spanish coach went on to detail Neves’ qualities. “He’s very young, but we had no doubts about him because we knew his intensity and his quality with and without the ball,” he explained, emphasizing the player’s immediate impact despite his age.
Enrique’s praise continued, “He’s an incredible player and we’re happy to have him here in Paris. I think he can still improve many things, especially in terms of scoring goals.” This sentiment suggests that while Neves has already made a significant impression, the PSG coaching staff believes there’s even more untapped potential for him to unlock, particularly in the attacking third.
