LIGUE 1 – Olympique de Marseille is making serious moves in the transfer market, reportedly securing their second center-back signing! After bringing in CJ Egan-Riley, the Phocéens have now reached an agreement with RC Lens for highly-rated defender Facundo Medina.
According to L’Equipe, negotiations accelerated rapidly over the weekend, culminating in a reported €22 million transfer fee, including bonuses, for the 26-year-old Argentine. Medina, who featured in 29 Ligue 1 matches this past season, is expected in Marseille as early as Tuesday to undergo his medical examination and sign a five-year contract.
This looks to be a significant acquisition for OM as they strengthen their backline for the upcoming season.
