PSG Crush Inter Miami 4-0 to Book Club World Cup Quarterfinal Spot

Joao Neves Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Miami

PSG NEWS – Paris Saint-Germain delivered a commanding performance on Sunday night, thrashing Inter Miami 4-0 in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. At the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Luis Enrique’s side dominated from start to finish to secure a quarterfinal berth, where they will face either Flamengo or Bayern Munich.

It didn’t take long for PSG to open the scoring. In the 6th minute, Joao Neves found the back of the net with a diving header from a pinpoint Vitinha cross. From there, the French champions took complete control.

Inter Miami were dealt an early blow when defender Noah Allen pulled up with an apparent hamstring injury and had to be replaced by Aviles just 19 minutes in.

PSG doubled their lead in the 39th minute when Neves capitalized on a defensive error to slot home his second goal of the night.

It quickly turned into a nightmare for Aviles, who inadvertently scored an own goal four minutes later under pressure. And just before halftime, Achraf Hakimi joined the scoresheet, converting after a chaotic sequence in the box to make it 4-0.

Messi and Suarez Silenced, PSG Cruise

Despite the presence of global icons Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, Inter Miami failed to trouble the PSG defense. Messi’s best chance—a dangerous free-kick in the 88th minute—hit the wall, and his close-range header earlier in the second half was expertly saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Suarez, meanwhile, was well contained by the combination of Beraldo and Hernandez throughout the match.

Ousmane Dembélé and Kang-in Lee were introduced in the second half, adding fresh legs, but the Parisians had already done enough damage and coasted through the remainder of the game.

Luis Enrique looked composed and satisfied as his team executed a near-perfect tactical performance. On the other hand, Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano was visibly frustrated, frequently expressing his dismay on the touchline.

Next Up: Flamengo or Bayern Munich

With the job done, PSG now await their next opponent. The winner of Flamengo vs Bayern Munich will meet the French giants in what promises to be a thrilling quarterfinal clash.
