Paris Saint-Germain is stepping up its defensive recruitment this summer, targeting both a right-center back and a potential left-center back.
While negotiations for Bournemouth’s Illya Zabarnyi are ongoing at a €70M asking price, PSG is now eyeing Diogo Leite, the standout Portuguese defender from Union Berlin. At 26, Leite has proven himself as one of the Bundesliga’s top defenders and is available for a move with his contract running until 2026.
Despite already having a strong defensive lineup, including Presnel Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez, and Lucas Beraldo, PSG could offload a player to make room for Leite. Kimpembe, in particular, could be on the move after struggling with injuries and not fully fitting into Luis Enrique’s plans.
