Should Paris Saint-Germain secure the UEFA Champions League title against Arsenal this Saturday, the club has secured official permission from the Paris City Council to host a victory celebration. The planned parade route is set to feature stops near the iconic Eiffel Tower, the Trocadéro, and the Champ-de-Mars. However, the decision has drawn fierce criticism from local political figures due to a perceived lack of administrative transparency.

According to details surrounding the logistical planning, the squad managed by Luis Enrique will not be allowed to parade down the Champs-Elysées this year following a direct refusal from the police prefecture. Consequently, if the French champions manage to achieve a consecutive European title, the celebrations will take place on Sunday, with a stage erected in the center of the Trocadéro for the trophy presentation followed by a commemorative photo session near the Eiffel Tower.

Based on a report distributed by the community organization Les Amis du Champ-de-Mars on social media platform X, the Mayor of the 7th arrondissement, Rachida Dati, expressed profound anger toward the primary municipal government. She emphasized that the authorization was finalized without consulting local residents, neighborhood associations, or elected district officials.

From editorial monitoring of local governance disputes, Rachida Dati remains firmly opposed to utilizing the Champ-de-Mars for large-scale sports celebrations. She indicated that the unilateral decision undermines local security, disrupts neighborhood tranquility, and directly threatens the preservation of a historic heritage site that local families rely upon.

Field observations indicate that municipal authorities currently intend to keep the public celebration open between 14:00 and 18:00, subject to strict capacity limits. Traffic and parking restrictions are already being drafted for the surrounding streets, though everything ultimately hinges on whether Paris Saint-Germain can successfully overcome Arsenal on the pitch to claim their second European crown.
